The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has called off its 9 months old strike.
This was disclosed by the ASUU Chairman, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi during a press briefing earlier today, after the union’s ongoing negotiation with the Federal Government.
The prolonged strike was due to government’s alleged delay in meeting the agreements reached with the union.
According to the ASUU Chairman, “We are going back to strive for our students to excel. We are returning to classes and appeal to parents to work with us for the revitalization of universities,” he said.
students can now package their loads and prepare for school.
