Abia State Government has appointed Professor Onyemachi Maxwell Ogbulu as the new Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University (ABSU) with effect from the 1st of December, 2020.
The appointment was contained in a release signed by Barrister Chris Ezem, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
According to the release, “the appointment follows the formal presentation of the recommendation of the Governing Council led by Senator Adolphus Wabara, PhD, to the Governor sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Uche Ikonne, on the 30th of November, 2020.
